Tantallon engineers and their shelters

Tantallon demonstrated their excellent engineering and team work skills this morning creating brilliant shelters with working Solar Panals and LED lights! 
Well done to them all :-)

Making Knexions ©

Primary Seven are taking part in the Making Knexions© Emergency Shelter Activity from Young Engineers©. 
Each group (groups are within houses)  must design and build an emergency shelter with solar powered lighting that will protect three people from wind and rain and will provide light in the darkened interior. (We are imagining that people are the size of dolls!)
Available equipment: knex, solar panel, LED panel, electrical wires, nylon cover and clips.
