Old Edinburgh Tour - Photos

Thank you to Mr Howie for taking Primary 5B on such an amazing tour around the sights of Old Edinburgh.  The class had a brilliant time and learned so much about the different characters and landmarks of Edinburgh.  They were an absolute joy to take on this trip and were great ambassadors for Sciennes!  Well done P5B!

Mr Howie's Old Edinburgh Trip - P5B

Yesterday morning, Mr Howie took us on a trip around old Edinburgh.  We learned about Burke and Hare and how they were body snatchers.  We saw Greyfriar's Bobby's grave and his master John Grey.  It rained heavily but as usual it is Edinburgh and we enjoyed it all the same.

Mr Howie locked us in the Covenanter's prison and we had to stand in the most haunted place in the UK.  It felt scary but fun!

P5B Perimeter and Area challenge

P5B have been enjoying learning about perimeter and area and have been working hard during cooperative learning activities.  We all enjoyed creating our own robots in class and working out the perimeters of the robots' bodies.  What a creative bunch!!

Book Festival P5

We all enjoyed our trip to Edinburgh's book festival to meet Julia Golding, the author of 'Young Knights of the Round Table.'.  It was lovely to see Toby Ward, Georgia and Laiba participate on stage and dress up as pirates and historical figures.  Great trip had by all.
