Evacuation Drama Still Pictures

As preparation for our first person fictional narratives about evacuees, we carried out some research into the experiences of World War evacuees. After this we made still pictures in groups and thought tapped what the characters were thinking. One of our characters was scared as to how the family they would be staying with would treat them, another wanted children who would work hard on his farm.

More fantastic models!

Well done!

P7B Hyperinflation Videos

Here are some of the videos we created about Hyperinflation in Germany.

One group's video could not be posted because a real name was used.

One group's video was unfinished.

Safer Internet Day

Here are two of the videos we watched and discussed today:

We talked about the 'friends' we have online and whether or not we really do know and trust them.
We talked about reporting anything that gives us a 'no feeling'.

Silver EPSSA Medals for Sportshall Athletics

P7 pupils came joint Second place at the Edinburgh Final of Sportshall Athletics on Monday 11th January at Meadowbank Stadium and narrowly missed out in competing at the East Scotland Final. We wish Bonaly (who came First) and Bruntsfield (who came joint Second but with 8 First Place events to Sciennes' 4 First Place events) success in the forthcoming event. Thank you to Mrs Beth Walker for providing Silver EPSSA medals to all the pupils who took part.

Sportshall Edinburgh Final by Luke P7B
At Sportshall it was great. We had amazing fun and Liam in P7C set a new Edinburgh record of 6.7 metres and won a gold medal! At first the team were 8th and after the next event we were 4th.

The further we got through the day the more tense it became and when we got to the results everyone was so nervous and excited to see how we did but no matter how we did we went in with a message that we all remembered. No matter how well we do we can only try our best and trying our best is what we should be proud of. When the results came in we were joint 2nd with 176 points! Yash from P7B said “It was an amazing experience and loads of fun.” I'm sure everyone else would agree with him.

A Gold Medal for Liam!
