Designing Games
Over the last 5 weeks or so we have been learning a range of games. Today, in the gym hall, we began working in groups to design a game that would practise a skill or skills needed for a team game. Next week we will try out each other's games and make adjustments based on feedback.

BBC Ten Pieces - Holst: "Mars" from "The Planets"
English composer, Gustav Holst, wrote "Mars" 100 years
ago, just before the start of the First World War, but the music was
not performed to a large audience until after the war. What do you think
the first people who listened to "Mars" thought about it? What did the
music make you think about, P6? Maybe it made you think of things from
your Space project? Or did it make you think of something else?

Spooky Chemistry
Earlier in the week, we were exploring some spooky science. We carried out a couple of chemistry experiments and used our observational skills to look at what was happening. We noticed in both the experiments that there were several signs that a chemical reaction had happened: changes of temperature, new materials, fizzing and non-reversible changes. Have a look at us in action.
Want to try the experiment at home? See the link below.
Zoo Visit - Lifecycles
Today we were at the zoo learning about animal life cycles. We learnt lots including: that gibbons have unique family songs; that Rock Hopper male penguins try to bond with a female by bringing her stones so she can make a nest and that an elephant pregnancy lasts 22 months.
